To create a timeless design, you can marry the old with the new, as we have done in this client’s interior design for a downtown condo.

This client has sophisticated taste and allowed Urban Energy Lifestyle & Design to create an extremely eclectic interior because the client recognizes and appreciates quality pieces from the past and present. The dining area with an antique Spanish round table, is perfect for conversation during dinner parties and is accentuated with the modern @flos chandelier inspired from the 1958 design by the iconic Gino Sarfatti. The sculptural floor lamp by @foscarinilamps is added in the seating area for ambient light. We added the long chandelier bulbs for an even greater statement!!!

A person should appreciate the craftsmanship from years gone by in antique furniture and character homes because they truly do not build things the way they used to!!! However, a better approach to redesigning these spaces and using antiques is incorporating very modern light fixtures, modern furniture, abstract art, and rejuvenated area rugs.

If you do not want your space to look like your grandmother’s house, take a more eclectic design outlook and incorporate quality modern design features with the beauty of pieces designed and built by past craftsmen.
